A Bite's Tale: A Furry Fable by Veronica Blade

A Cinderella who spends her nights as a wolf. A prince with a taste for blood.

Seventeen year old Cydney struggles against her werewolf nature, trying to keep everyone around her safe. No way will she risk exposing the beast at the prince’s ball, no matter how her two cousins try to persuade her. Even as she attempts to get on with her life, Cydney can’t forget the boy she loved three summers ago — or what she did to him after losing control.

Turned into a vampire to save his life, the prince refuses to live up to his royal duties. He just wants to find the girl he loved and lost...the werewolf girl who bit him. But his father, the king, commands him to attend a ball where he must choose a wife. Can he find his Cinderella before he's forced to marry another? He doesn’t even have her real name, much less a glass slipper.

With a Bite’s Tale, Cinderella has never been told better! The book just surprised me because Veronica is quickly approaching the top of the list as my favorite author ever! Two winners in a row!!! Cydney or Cinderella is a werewolf and she’s been meeting up with “Jack” for three summers and she’s fallen in love. But when they have they’re first kiss, Cydney loses control and bites Jack. She never forgives herself and even now, back on the island, she lets her fear control her. It is only when she conquers this fear that she opens up and finds the love she’s been missing for so long.
Cydney was a fantastic female character. She was feisty and funny and full of sarcasm. She was unknowingly beautiful. I love red-haired heroines! Her mother has died and she’s living with her aunt. Her only flaw is that she is ruled by her past. She worries heavily that she’ll hurt someone again or worse, hurt her family. The story was a great one of finding and growth for Cydney. She learned that she has more control than she knows and that her Werewolf genes don’t make her a lesser person, but that she’s stronger because of them.
Remy was the ultimate love interest and the opposite of Hayden, but still as sexy. He loved Cydney and waited for her. His voice was very sure and confident which added to his appeal, definitely. He and Cydney combined were Veronica’s claim to fame with A Bite’s Tale.

P.S. I also reviewed Veronica's book, Something Witchy This Way Comes. It is genius!! Check out my review HERE!

Night School (Blood Coven Vampires, #5) by Mari Mancusi

Summary from Goodreads

After their parents' shocking revelation about their fae heritage and an attack on their lives, the McDonald twins are forced to hide out deep in the Swiss Alps at Riverdale Academy, a secret vampire slayer training facility. And with no way to contact their vampire boyfriends for rescue, they're going to have to play nice with the locals.

But when Sunny starts acting strange, Rayne realizes that there's more to fear at Riverdale than getting staked by the student body-leading to a showdown in Fairyland that may cost the twins their lives.

Patterned Text Generator at TextSpace.net Filled with funny quips and interesting banter, Night School was a cool addition to the Blood Coven family to read. It was short and to the point, but overall an awesome story. Rayne and Sunny have two different personalities and make every chapter humorous and energetic. It certainly is unlike any vampire book or series I've ever read. Rayne is the most unique vampire/vampire slayer/fairy princess ever. I also like that it includes all kinds of fairy tales. It was surprising and brought back a lot of memories. I was a bit crestfallen when I realized that it was a book in a series. I had read the first book, but not any of the others. I was worried I would be lost having missed 3 books. I had no reason to worry because Rayne updated me at the beginning of the book. Usually, I find these decals annoying, but I definitely grateful for them this time! In fact, I think I will go back and read the other books just because I want more of Rayne and Sunny!
