Day 2: Top 10 Covers of 2011

It is day two of the Top 10 of 2011 event and today's topic is Top Covers of 2011. I was unsure if that meant covers that were shown in 2011 or covers of books that came out in 2011. So I just picked covers of books that came out in 2011. Honestly there wasn't must that really caught my attention, but there were a lot of books that I wanted to pick, only to see that they don't release until 2012. I totally think this post will be sooo much better next year.

Top 10 Covers of 2011
I love how her hair is splayed out over her face and how her lips match the color of the beautiful title.

I am a sucker for color and that is what catches my eye. Burn Bright's title burns SO brightly. Especially compared to the dark background. The girl's face is awesome too. How its melting and her expression.

This book has nothing if not color. The vivid flowers and the light coming from the the girl's holding drew my eyes.

I love this cover. It is more playful than the first one and the dots of color seem as if they can float off the page.

This cover reminds me of a sunset. The place is heavily detailed with lots of things in the back. The girl is wearing a mermaid dress and holding the sign that says "a novel" which I find quirky.

This cover has lots going on. The girls translucent face and flowing hair. The raven and forest background. And we can't over looked the pretty font and colors.

I just found this book today. I was instantly drawn to the purple sand. The title font is cool too.

The pictures of this cover do not do it justice. The colors are jump-off-the-paper beautiful and the texture is soft to the touch. (not that I rubbed it or anything) Your eyes constantly move trying to devour all of it.

This one is a bit calmer than the others, but for some reason I love those skeleton people, especially her cute, little bow.

This cover is also very calm. I do love the scene and the girl's dress. Also swirls are my daisies. They distract me. I heart them.

What covers do you think are beautiful? Leave me a link to your list so I can check it out!

Touch of Power is so pretty! I hadn't even seen that one till last month and immediately added it to my list to-read. I'm a fan of the hourglass cover too. I'll have to look that book up. And the cover for Allegiance is just BEAUTIFUL! Wow! Thanks for sharing your list. You gave me a lot of book ideas :)

Do you know I chew bubblegum like a fiend while I read? Great blog title.

I haven't heard of Renegade Magic but the cover is eye catching. It pops!

Touch of Power is beautiful -- after seeing the cover the first time I had to find out more about the book. I've added to my wishlist.
